The Snug Harbor 4th of July Parade... a DIY American original!!!
Check out my video here:This unfortunate dragonfly was snared during the night in one of the many spider webs we have around and about our deck. I grabbed the macro lens and went to work. We tolerate their webs... thanks to these busy little predators we have very few mosquitos biting us. BTW, Kathy made me free the dragonfly after the shoot but it was too late. BTW2, although many of the shots were fuzzy, using the continuous shooting mode I was able to get a few sharpies, even without the pod. ASA 1600, 1/60 at f/4.
Up before dawn to witness the daily ritual.
The Buddha is everywhere... big or little, they are everywhere.
JanA rainy day is a good one to revisit places we've been, and oh, my gosh, I've found some keepers amongst the 4000 mostly record shots and frantic photos from the Thailand trip. In Bangkok we found a gigantic golden Buddha in a wonderful old temple whose name is long gone in my memory but the amazing god still quite vivid in the brain. Stay tuned for more tomorrow.
Working on a project called... "A Leap Of Faith."
We all take those, don't we...
